Since 2013, Eminence Kids Foundation has donated organic fruits, vegetables and juices to sick children around the world. Today, we’re proud to announce the next steps of our journey: a beautiful new website and also a name for our teddy bear mascot.
Earlier this year, one of our Eminence Organic Skin Care team-members had a great idea: to name the mascot!
This bear has traveled the globe, from Hungary, to Vancouver, to Las Vegas and Austin, Texas to spread joy to children undergoing treatment for their illnesses. The quest to name the bear began at the Eminence Organic Skin Care Annual Business Conference, where we asked our Eminence employees from all over the world to submit ideas for the teddy bear’s new name. Over 50 suggestions were counted, and our Eminence Kids Foundation Bear naming committee narrowed the list down to the top three.
- HANK (Healing And Nourishing Kids)
- Boldibear (a play on the name of our Founder, Boldijarre Koronczay)
- Yarrow (the root of the yarrow plant is used in skincare to nourish and heal)
Our teddy bear then traveled to the International Spa Association Conference. Over 2,000 spa industry leaders had the opportunity to submit their votes for their favorite name.
Returning to our corporate office in Vancouver, Canada, the Eminence team welcomed the teddy bear back with open arms. A companywide survey was emailed out to all of our employees in North America, inviting everyone to vote for the name.
Just 7 days later, the votes were tallied. We are so thrilled to announce the name of our Eminence Kids Foundation teddy bear is… HANK!
HANK played a special role recently with our #eminencekids social media campaign. We promised to provide an organic meal in return for every picture with HANK and #eminencekids posted and shared on social media. Our spa partners and the International Spa Association rallied behind this cause, providing over 190 meals in just 40 days!
We can’t wait to see where HANK will make a positive, heartfelt impact next.
