Organic cold pressed juice is a key component of the nutritious donations made by the Eminence Kids Foundation. Not only is organic produce more nutrient dense than traditional produce, but cold pressed juice is also easier for children going through treatment to digest. Read on to learn more about the amazing company that creates cold pressed juice for Semmelweis Children’s Clinic in Budapest, Hungary.
Bio Erdei – Dedicated To Organic
Bio Erdei Gyümölcslevek és Lekvárok (or “Bio Forest Fruit Juices and Jams” when translated to English) is the amazing local company that makes organic cold pressed juice for Eminence Kids to donate to Semmelweis Children’s Clinic. Founded in 1994, this small juicery is run by Pataki and Anna. In addition to providing juice to the Eminence Kids Foundation, you can find Pataki and Anna at the Budapest Organic Farmer’s market every Saturday, as well as at many other festivals and events. Don’t let the small stature of this company fool you, though. With a mission of “Tudatos táplálkozás!” or “Conscious Eating!” Bio Erdei has Biokontroll certification – the Hungarian authority on organic certification – ensuring their practices meet strict European Union and Hungarian organic requirements.
Connection to Eminence Organic Skin Care
While Bio Erdei do have their own produce suppliers to create the juices and jams they sell, the juices created for the Eminence Kids Foundation are supplemented with extra produce from Eminence Organic Skin Care farmers. One of our Hungarian ingredient farmers, Margitka, grows many of the ingredients used in Eminence Organics products, including cherries and strawberries. Whenever there is extra fruit that is not needed for skin care products, Margitka donates it to Pataki and Anna. They then cold press these fruits and combine them with other juices to make delicious and nutritious blends.
Taste Tested And Approved
As we’ve described before, organic cold pressed juice is an excellent way for children going through treatment to get the nutrition they need. Bio Erdei meets this need, delivering 150 liters of juice to Semmelweis Children’s Clinic every month. Additionally, Bio Erdei has ensured these kids also enjoy every drop. Pataki and Anna got the children involved by starting with eleven flavors of juice and allowing them to taste test, narrowing down to five key flavors. Now the children at Semmelweis enjoy organic cold pressed Sour Cherry, Raspberry, Blueberry, Unsweetened Plum and Elderflower juice on a regular basis.
The generosity shown by Bio Erdei is so appreciated by the Eminence Kids Foundation. Making this organic cold pressed juice for us since May 2014, we look forward to many years of partnership to come.
